Lately, I've been thinking how we're in an era where even children can easily create websites💡
A 9-year-old girl I know built her own website using WordPress.com without writing any code, and I wanted to share this heartwarming story about her adorable process🌸
A Website at 9 Years Old!? How Did She Do It?
First, you might think "Websites seem so difficult...", right? I felt the same way at first, and just hearing terms like HTML and CSS made my head spin🤯
But apparently, WordPress.com is free to use and you can design without any programming. That's the amazing part✨
This girl started purely out of curiosity with a "I want to try it!" attitude. Her parents filmed the process on YouTube, so if you're interested, definitely check it out👇

What Does the Finished Site Look Like?
The result was a site called "rookies27.wordpress.com".
When you look at it, it has a cute, childlike design with her freely writing about things she likes, making it the kind of site you can't help but want to support💗
- Color scheme is colorful and pop🎨
- She selected and added photos and illustrations herself🖼️
- Simple but easy-to-understand layout✨
It really felt like "her own special place"💭
Is This the Era Where Parents and Children Enjoy the Web Together?
What I felt watching this story is that even children can have their own platform for expression if they have the right tools.
I think that's really wonderful. We adults may start out fumbling too, but seeing children enjoying themselves freely somehow gives us energy✨
If you're thinking about having your child start something new, it might be good to know that there are free, easy ways to try things out like this💬
By the way, this girl has been receiving lots of supportive comments and seems really happy about it, so maybe it would be nice to visit her site and send a message too👍
(Having people watching you really is encouraging, isn't it🥺)
This made me think again about how wonderful it is to value that "I want to try!" feeling without overcomplicating things💗✨
Enjoying things at your own pace and accumulating small challenges might be the best approach🌸

She's using WordPress now, but she'll probably be touching the Linux kernel soon.

Oh, the comments section is open! How about posting some affiliate links and studying spam filters?... Just kidding! Half-price sale!

For free?? You're not even paying!? Tell her to join a union!... Just kidding, but at least buy her some ice cream!

This is really great! Giving her a direction to learn while having fun and bringing joy to strangers too, nice!

Poor thing, she's being forced to use WordPress.com instead of real WordPress.
