Google Blocking AI Searches About the President's Dementia? Let's Think About Why

Sharing my thoughts and questions about Google not showing AI search results for certain presidents. It made me realize how tricky handling search results can be.
Google Blocking AI Searches About the President's Dementia? Let's Think About Why

I noticed something a bit strange recently - Google seems to be blocking AI search results about the current president's dementia 😳✨

They show normal AI results for similar searches about former presidents, but for some reason, only the current president gets blocked... I wondered why this might be, so I looked into it a bit 💭

What Does It Mean When AI Search Results Are Blocked?

Normally when you ask Google a question, AI eagerly provides answers these days, right? 🤖💡
But in this case, when asking about "the current president's mental state," Google appears to be preventing the AI from displaying its answers.

The reason given was "to avoid the risk of misinformation and defamation"... hmm, I see 🤔

Why Only the Current President? Former Presidents Are OK?

This is what really got me curious 💭
The same AI searches about "dementia" or "mental state" show normal results for former presidents.

But they're handling the current president much more delicately.
Probably because it's a politically sensitive topic, and they want to prevent misunderstandings and biased information from having major impacts? 😮‍💨

Can We Trust AI Information?

Thinking about this made me realize something...
Not all information AI provides is necessarily correct. It seems obvious when you think about it, but we tend to assume "if it's AI, it must be right!"

However, for sensitive topics like this, it might be necessary to impose restrictions to maintain "accuracy" and "fairness" 🥺✨

To Summarize...

  • Google is intentionally blocking AI search results about the current president's dementia
  • They show normal AI search results for former presidents
  • This approach seems to prevent the spread of misinformation and bias
  • AI information is convenient, but we need to be careful with sensitive topics

Somehow, I feel like I can see the boundary between what AI can and cannot do 🌸
This topic really made me think when I looked into it~ 💭✨

I checked, and there's no AI summary for Trump's dementia.

Why does AI answer about Biden's dementia but stays silent about Trump?

Isn't this similar to how Pooh is blocked from searches in China?

YouTube also pushes conservative and religious content hard, even when I set it to not interested, it doesn't work.

Don't need Google. Trump has dementia, and that's been clear since before the first election. Forgets names, calls people by wrong names, can't control impulses, can't manage stairs alone. Rambles off-topic constantly. It's weird how everyone stays silent about Trump's condition despite all the Biden criticism.

Of course he has dementia.

If you type 'dementia' correctly, sites appear, but if you misspell it...

Sometimes AI just stops with 'no summary available.'
